Buyer's Guide

How to Choose

The Right Pool Cue

Start with weight (most players use 18–21 oz; 19 oz is the common all-around choice), then shaft technology (low-deflection and carbon-fiber shafts improve accuracy by reducing cue-ball deflection), then tip size and feel. Choosing a break or jump cue? Those are built differently from a play cue. Tell us your game and we'll help you choose.

The Right Pool Table

Match the table to your room: 7 ft suits smaller spaces and casual play, 8 ft is the home standard, and 9 ft is tournament size — and leave about 5 ft of clear space around the table for full strokes. Slate beds give the flattest, most consistent play. Send us your room dimensions and we'll recommend the right fit.

Good Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What pool cue brands do you carry?
We stock authentic pool and snooker cues from Predator, McDermott, Lucasi, and Meucci, among others — covering low-deflection, carbon-fiber, break, jump, sneaky Pete, and snooker cues.
What weight pool cue should I use?
Most players use a cue between 18 and 21 ounces, with 19 oz the most popular all-around weight. Heavier cues add break power; lighter cues offer more finesse and control.
What is a low-deflection shaft, and do I need one?
A low-deflection (or carbon-fiber) shaft reduces how far the cue ball veers off line when you apply spin, making shots straighter and more predictable. Most competitive players prefer them, and they help players at every level.
Do you sell snooker cues and tables?
Yes. Alongside American pool gear, we carry snooker cues such as the BCE Black Series Mark Selby range and snooker tables like the Mont Fort — and we ship worldwide, including the UK and Australia.
What size pool table should I buy?
Common sizes are 7 ft, 8 ft, and 9 ft. 7 ft suits smaller rooms, 8 ft is the popular home standard, and 9 ft is tournament size. Leave at least 5 ft of clear space around the table — send us your room size and we'll recommend the right fit.
What's the difference between slate and non-slate tables?
Slate tables use a stone playing bed for a perfectly flat, consistent surface — the standard for serious play. Non-slate tables use engineered materials; they're lighter and cheaper but less precise over time. Most of our premium tables are slate.
Do you ship worldwide, and is shipping free?
Yes — we ship pool cues, tables, and accessories worldwide. Orders over $2500 ship free, carefully packaged and insured.
Are your cues and tables authentic and under warranty?
Yes. Every item is 100% authentic, sourced from the manufacturer and backed by the manufacturer's warranty — never replicas or factory seconds.
